Storage area network (SAN)technology has been around since the late 1990s, but historically it was priced far out of the range of small IT departments. Now this option for making more-efficient use of data storage has become affordable for all but the smallest of IT shops.
Can you use a SCSI Hard Drive and a SATA Hard Drive at the same time?
I am currently using a SCSI HD and would like to also use another HD which is a SATA drive. I can boot up the PC and it will read both drives, but locks up immediatley after it detects devices in the boot up procedure.....any help?
Check the BIOS, the boot sequence needs to be adjusted. Also before anything, check the jumper on the SATA drive ind make sure it isn't set to master.
