I need help with my external hard drive!?
Hey guys I have a LaCie "Little Disk" external hard drive that stopped working, it's like he is dead, the little light does not light when connected to the computer .. I think it may be due to the fact that the USB cable is slightly bent and broken plastic type .. Do you know anything about this? In addition, LaCie has this thing called "LaCie USB power sharing cable, could that work, or just for power? Thank you very much, I hope that at least part of this makes sense!
Try replacing the USB cable. It is likely that the power connector was broken. They cost about $ 10 and can be purchased at any computer store. The power distribution cable is used when not getting enough power the cable that connects the hard drive to USB. Just connect the cable to another USB port to give extra juice. Up connection may well make it work again, but be better in the long term, you just replace it.
