RAID 0 and external hard drive question?
Is it possible to have 3 hard drives in RAID 0 set, and also have an external hard drive, a copy security? Thus, I may have impressive performance of RAID 0 and still backup files.
Yes, you can have 3 units disk created in a RAID 0 configuration, you just have to make sure the raid controller has enough free ports to support their units. Also, recalls that the units must be the same capacity. If using units with different capacities, then the size of the resulting logic disk be as large as the smallest unit. You can include the external drive into the disk array, but you can use a backup program backup from disk resulting RAID logic to this backup unit. Hope this helps!
