LaCie Expands Rugged Hard Drive Line with New eSATA
LaCie revealed its new Rugged eSATA mobile hard drive.
LaCie external hard drive problem?
I recently had to turn off my laptop, running Vista, holding down the power button until that was disabled with force. When I turned back again my external drive from LaCie 1 TB drive, just has a blinking blue power button instead of a constant blue button. It did not appear in "My Computer", so I turned off my laptop and connect the hard disk on the desktop, ie XP, and continues blinking blue. How do I fix this without losing data? I think you're right: This happened once with my laptop, and I had installed Ubuntu on my desk at the time, and when the laptop unplugged and plugged into the desktop with Ubuntu has worked well. Try connecting back into the laptop. Then turn on the laptop. If it is not recognized by the computer, go to Control Panel and select Add Hardware. It may be in force laptop drivers were damaged or something else is crazy. I think it has lost nothing by the fact that its exterior is a USB device and USB devices are hot-swap (ability to connect and disconnect devices while computer or other device is on and that these devices can detect without rebooting the computer or device)
