How do I change my iTunes on my Mac to my external drive?

click and drag I've tried but I have way too many songs. please help!

I know of no other way to do it. You're going to have to go to the original location of the files, click and drag them outside and then leave him alone for a few hours. After it's done, go to iTunes preferences and set the import location in the drive and iTunes will copy all the songs in your library.
